Meet Willie Ortiz a 76 years old who lives in Hartford, Connecticut. He is a scrap metal worker who has used his income to pay the food for nearly 70 neighborhood cats for 22 years running. It doesn’t matter how is the situation or the weather, but he didn’t miss a day in all this 22 years.

Like clock work at 7 pm, Willies drives in his minivan packed with a lot of cat food his cat colonies. For abandoned and feral cats. Willie, is a veteran and husband of 52 years. Everyday he is on the search for discarded scrap metal collecting to sell to buy cat food. .

From Puerto Rican he started feeding cats back in 1995 after a stray cat was begging for food from a customer. It broke his heart and he decided to help cats. Usually, he feeds 16 colonies of stray and feral cats. He goes 365 days a year to fed his friends the cats.

Not only he feds them, but he cares for injured and sick cats. He takes them home and bring them in to get medical attention. Willie rescued a ginger cat 23 years ago and since then they have been together.
